Job summary

Poppy Bank is seeking a Branch Manager to lead the daily operations of a full-service California branch, overseeing client service, product sales, and security while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

You will hire, coach, and evaluate staff, drive deposit growth through promotions, monitor performance, and coordinate training on policy changes. Some travel for CRA/community activities may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven sales ability and documented branch growth.
• Minimum of 7 years in a branch environment.
• Minimum of 5 years branch management experience.
• Minimum of 3 years management of complex business and consumer accounts.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Leadership and experience in teamwork and customer service.
• Experience in hiring, training, coaching and performance management of employees.
• Notary Public preferred

Responsibilities

• Hires and develops quality staff to ensure top customer service.
• Meets direct reports monthly for coaching opportunities and documentation.
• Ensures staff are trained in sales and service techniques.
• Promotes branch deposit growth through in-branch sales promotions.
• Monitors branch trends and informs leadership of issues.
• Communicates policy changes and trains staff accordingly.
• Resolves non-performance and conducts evaluations.
• Oversees branch operations and approves large deposits.
• Reviews NSF/overdrafts within authority.
• Develops sales strategies and local community presence.
