Independent Bank is seeking an AVP Bank Manager in Traverse City, MI to oversee all aspects of a retail banking office, driving profitability through team leadership, client acquisition, and exceptional service. You will manage staff performance, develop banking relationships with individuals and small businesses, and collaborate with Community Bankers to hit sales and CRA goals while maintaining strong

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in retail banking.
• 2+ years of management experience, or 3+ years in a Team Leader or Assistant Manager role.
• Advanced knowledge of banking operations and security procedures.
• Strong ability to meet sales, operational, and CRA goals.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage employees and direct activities to maximize branch profitability and customer service.
• Participate in staff selection, training and development; conduct performance reviews.
• Oversee branch sales, operations and service processes for efficiency.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and security procedures are followed.
• Develop profitable relationships with individuals, small businesses and organizations.
• Call on customers to develop new business relationships and collect loan applications.
