Southern Michigan Bank & Trust is seeking a Branch Manager to lead a high-performing branch team and execute the bank’s strategic plan. You will drive exceptional customer service, maintain regulatory compliance, and foster growth through community engagement and relationship management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of banking experience preferred, including staff leadership responsibilities.
• Leadership and branch operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and oversight for all branch operational functions
• Manage branch profitability, growth, and performance metrics, including the retention and expansion of deposits, appropriate budgeting, and development of customer relationships
• Lead, coach, and develop branch employees to achieve service, sales, and operational excellence
• Identify growth opportunities, develop strategic relationships, generate new business, and increase revenue through proactive networking, consultative sales, market analysis, and relationship management to drive branch growth, increase market share, and profitability
• Promptly address employee performance needs and customer satisfaction issues, ensuring quality service standards are maintained
• Ensure strict adherence to bank policies, regulatory requirements, security procedures, and risk mitigation practices
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, businesses, and community partners to enhance the bank’s presence
• Manage multiple priorities in fast paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and protecting the bank’s interest
