Job summary

BancFirst is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager in Sand Springs, OK. The role blends customer-focused selling with daily branch operations, including teller duties and opening accounts. You will back up the branch manager when needed and lead a team to deliver compliant, high-quality service across channels.

The position requires strong sales, supervision, and compliance skills, with a focus on excellent customer experiences and effective team leadership in a dynamic banking environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sales tools and presentation.
• Ability to motivate staff and assist in maintaining goals.
• Knowledge of daily bank operations, including security issues.
• Keen knowledge of federal, state, and bank policy, procedure and regulations as these relate to the Universal Banker duties.
• Outstanding listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in opening new accounts, servicing accounts, and working in a teller position.
• Interact with other offices and departments for accurate resolutions to problems and errors, in addition to the timely completion of job tasks.
• Flexible and able to work additional hours when needed.
• Proficient in Horizon, Horizon Teller, IDO, and Connections.
• Critical thinking, must work well under stress and deadlines.
• Must demonstrate a business professional image and demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the daily running of the branch including teller transactions, opening new accounts, and referrals of BancFirst products.
• Assist in managing customer service levels of Universal Bankers and Tellers; provide exceptional service at all times.
• Perform universal banker functions including teller transactions and opening accounts; refer BancFirst products.
• Coach, counsel and discipline branch personnel.
• Lead compliance coaching to increase sales while remaining compliant.
• Participate in monthly scorecard performance reviews with employees.
• Provide compliance updates in weekly operational meetings.
• Perform audits related to federal/state/bank policies and maintain branch audit books.
