As the backup branch manager, you will support the manager and drive sales with integrity, handle audits, and maintain strong internal controls in a fast-paced retail banking environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sales tools and presentation.
• Ability to motivate staff and assist in maintaining goals.
• Knowledge of daily bank operations, including security issues.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and bank policy, procedure and regulations as these relate to the Universal Banker duties.
• Outstanding listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in opening new accounts, servicing accounts, and working in a teller position.
• Interact with other offices and departments for accurate resolutions to problems and errors, in addition to the timely completion of job tasks.
• Flexible and able to work additional hours when needed.
• Proficient in Horizon, Horizon Teller, IDO, and Connections.
• Critical thinking, must work well under stress and deadlines.
• Must demonstrate a business professional image and demeanor at all times.
• Demonstrate good attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the daily running of the branch including teller transactions and opening new accounts.
• Assist in managing customer service levels of Universal Bankers and Tellers.
• Perform Universal Banker duties including teller transactions and account openings.
• Assist in coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action of branch personnel.
• Provide compliance coaching to increase sales while remaining compliant.
• Participate in monthly score card reviews for employees.
• Present weekly compliance updates in operational meetings.
• Conduct audits per policies and regulations and maintain audit books.
