Columbus Metropolitan Library's South High Branch seeks a Manager to lead staff, oversee daily operations, and serve as a key community liaison in Columbus, Ohio. This role drives strategic planning and staff development at the local branch.

Responsibilities include managing, hiring, orienting and evaluating staff, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring service excellence while fostering partnerships with community organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in libraries or similar field.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Ability to write and speak clearly for diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leads operations and manages staff at the local level.
• Develops, coaches and trains staff; sets performance expectations.
• Leads goal setting to align with strategic plan and department goals.
• Establishes collaborations with community agencies and promotes library services.
• Solves problems at local and system levels and communicates policies.
• Manages budgets and fiscal controls; oversees paperwork and reporting.
• Performs additional duties including project leadership as needed.
