Job summary

Argent Credit Union is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager in Glen Allen, VA, to lead a branch team and deliver exceptional member experiences. You will support the Senior Retail Manager with coaching, scheduling, and daily operations while engaging with members to deepen relationships.

The role emphasizes staff development, operational efficiency, and proactive problem solving. A college degree and strong computer skills are preferred, with an on-site office environment and a salary range

Qualifications

3 years of lending or customer service experience at a credit union or other financial institution.
Supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership 1 year minimum.
Strong communication, coaching, conflict resolution and sales skills.
High integrity and a team-first attitude.
College degree and solid computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily branch activities, including work assignments, scheduling and staff coverage across all service channels.
Coach, motivate and develop team members to meet branch and individual performance goals.
Monitor systems and equipment, resolve issues and plan for downtime to keep branch operations running smoothly.
Perform all branch functions as needed, including opening and closing the branch.
Assist members with deposit accounts, loans, debit cards, and online banking; promote products and services.
Assess members’ financial needs and recommend suitable products, services and promotions.
Resolve member complaints, help prevent fraud, and build long-term relationships.
