Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Administration Manager in daily operations, staff performance, client service, and compliance. This role also coaches employees, develops client relationships, and helps achieve deposits, retention, and community goals.

You may act as Branch Manager when needed and must meet requirements including a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in retail banking or financial services with leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible retail banking, financial services, or related experience.
• Experience leading, coaching, or supervising employees.
• Working knowledge of branch operations, transaction controls, cash management, and banking regulations.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, prioritize, and safeguard confidential information.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and basic business-math skills.
• Proficiency with standard business technology and ability to learn core banking, CRM, and fraud-prevention systems.
• Able to work branch schedules including occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily branch leadership, including staffing, scheduling, work assignment, communication, and service coverage.
• Coach employees on client service, relationship development, procedures, risk controls, and performance.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, recognition, and corrective action.
• Promote a respectful, inclusive, accountable, and collaborative work environment.
• Serve as acting Branch Manager when the Branch Manager is unavailable.
• Deliver service across consumer and business banking interactions.
• Resolve escalated client questions, complaints, and service issues promptly.
• Identify client needs and connect to Bank products and specialists without high-pressure sales.
• Perform Relationship Banker duties as needed, including account opening and maintenance.
• Support branch goals through ethical and needs-based practices.
• Participate in community and Bank-sponsored activities.
