Job summary

Mechanics Bank is seeking a Branch Services Manager to lead our on-site branch operations. You will supervise daily activities, oversee cash handling, security, compliance, and drive strategies to retain customers and grow business.

You will hire, train, and coach staff, conduct performance reviews, and ensure branch goals are met while maintaining high service quality and risk controls.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Notary license preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of banking experience with an emphasis in operations preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of management experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; successful experience managing and leading people.
• Knowledge of small business and consumer credit principles and practices.
• Ability to motivate employees to provide excellent customer service, demonstrate initiative, and achieve results.
• Knowledge of current applicable federal and state banking regulations.
• The ability to analyze and apply the consumer and small business banking needs with specific Bank services and products.

Responsibilities

• Manages and provides leadership to branch employees, leads daily huddles and branch meetings.
• Coaches staff for improved performance, conducts performance reviews and develops individual goals.
• Hires and develops quality staff ensuring proper skills and staffing levels for highest customer service.
• Resolves issues of non-performance including disciplinary actions and termination.
• Oversees a Retail Branch office including production and service goals, budgeting, and branch efficiency.
• Manages compliance and operations functions, self-audits, daily reports and cash controls.
• Provides deposit services, opens/closes accounts, assists with online banking and complex account issues.
• Ensures customer satisfaction, handles inquiries, and maintains relationship with customers.
