Job summary

Columbia Bank in Tigard, OR is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in achieving branch goals and ensuring day-to-day operational excellence.

You will supervise tellers, process transactions, cross-sell services, and open new accounts, while aiding credit-related inquiries and lending origination as a Bank MLO in open-end products. On-site role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of retail banking experience required.
• 1 year of management or supervisory experience preferred.
• 1 year of consumer and small business lending origination experience preferred.
• Customer service background in retail or banking.
• Demonstrated ability to grow sales by developing relationships and offering solutions.
• Proficient use of spreadsheets and banking computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach tellers; oversee personal bankers when needed.
• Process transactions and monitor branch operations, controls and audits.
• Open new accounts and collect credit information; handle wires, overdrafts, and stop payments.
• Cross-sell bank services and refer clients to other departments.
• Back up Branch Manager; recruit, train, and develop branch staff.
• Build long-term community relationships and provide proactive client solutions.
