Job summary

Columbia Bank in Reedsport, OR seeks an Assistant Branch Manager to drive daily operations, support the Branch Manager, and coach tellers toward Breakthrough Client Service. You will process transactions, open new accounts and assist loan requests, while ensuring audits pass and branch controls are followed.

The role offers a $500 signing bonus and a competitive incentive plan, with pay between $20.00 and $26.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s in banking, business, or related field preferred.
• 2 years of retail banking experience required.
• 1 year of management or supervisory experience preferred.
• 1 year of consumer and small business lending origination experience preferred.
• Customer service background in retail or banking.
• Ability to grow sales by building long-lasting client relationships and offering customized solutions.
• Demonstrated leadership in difficult conversations.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Proficient with spreadsheets and banking computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead Tellers; coach team to deliver Breakthrough Client Service.
• Process transactions and open new accounts; assist loan requests.
• Cross-sell bank services and refer to other departments.
• Ensure branch meets operations standards and audits; manage branch controls.
• Monitor sales goals and develop client relationships via financial reviews.
• Oversee personal banking team as needed; back up Branch Manager.
