Job summary

National Bank of Sallisaw is seeking a branch team member responsible for daily retail operations and exceptional customer service. You will help customers with all banking needs and actively develop deposits and referrals by engaging with customers, prospects, and the community.

The role emphasizes cross-selling, community presence, and maintaining branch operations, including teller oversight and ATM maintenance. A college degree or 3 years in retail banking is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: College education preferred but not required.
• Experience: 3+ years in a retail banking environment or supervisory and business development/sales experience.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and prospective customers by opening new accounts and cross-selling bank services.
• Set a sales-focused example and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Handle complaints and objections with customers and staff.
• Monitor cash balances of all tellers and vault.
• Oversee teller procedures and transactions (balancing, bait money, checks, initials).
• Balance and maintain ATM.
• Assist the Community President with branch security and policy adherence.
• Maintain branch building and equipment; manage inventory and supplies.
• Engage in business development and customer relationship activities within the branch market.
• Maintain a sales culture by setting goals for deposit and account growth; sell/refer retail products and services.
