Job summary

Carter Bank is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager in Chase City, VA to develop and expand customer relationships while providing support and accountability for branch teams, ensuring strong financial performance, customer satisfaction, and adherence to policy.

You will model leadership, coach staff, coordinate with internal partners, promote bank products, manage deposits and loans, and strive to deliver consistently exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college a plus.
• Experience in a financial institution or similar professional/retail services industry preferred.
• Proven leadership capability in a prior position.
• Customer service and/or sales experience required.
• Experience with relationship management is a plus.
• Operations experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Guide and apply retail operating model defined behaviors, skills, and tools.
• Execute the branch's strategic plan to grow core deposits and loans, fee income.
• Support branch associate action planning, reinforce expectations, and assess performance.
• Maintain high employee morale to minimize turnover and maximize customer service satisfaction.
• Promote the bank's products and services to support growth objectives.
• Oversee the quality of consumer and business products sales and servicing.
• Identify opportunities and collaborate with internal and vendor partners.
• Ensure quality customer service and effective relationship management actions.
