Job summary

Liberty Bank is seeking a Branch Manager in Simsbury to lead daily branch operations, drive profitability and strengthen customer relationships. You will coach teammates, manage HR activities, and partner with senior management to implement growth strategies while maintaining compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.

The role requires strong sales leadership, operational excellence, and the ability to navigate digital banking tools.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years sales management in Retail/Financial Services; preferred.
• Strong people leadership skills: engage, motivate and develop teammates.
• Ability to coach and mentor teammates to achieve sales goals and objectives.
• Develop new and existing business relationships, including disciplined weekly business calling.
• Think strategically and assist Market Manager to execute on direction and goals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, problem solving, decision making and time management.
• Strong attention to detail with a high concern for accuracy.
• Make sound decisions balancing risk and customer experience.
• Well organized self-starter with forecasting and planning ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and position software.
• Knowledge of branch operations and retail services.
• Knowledge of digital banking and branch technology.
• Ability to manage multiple ad hoc assignments.
• Availability to work weekends or extended hours to run the business.
• NMLS registration under the SAFE Act of 2008.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily branch operations, provides comprehensive retail services; participates in business growth activities.
• Manages HR activities: recruiting, onboarding, training, performance appraisals, promotions, career development.
• Facilitates teammates career growth through development planning, coaching, and training.
• Conducts weekly in-person business calls to acquire and deepen relationships.
• Maintains a balance of sales, service, and operations objectives.
• Achieves sales goals through product knowledge, coaching and accountability.
• Manages account/deposit portfolios and strong relationships with top customers.
• Leads daily huddles and team meetings to reach branch goals.
• Partners with Regional Market Manager to align strategies with business plans.
• Implements controls to improve efficiency and manage costs.
• Ensures audit compliance and regulatory adherence.
• Develops new business relationships through professional associations and community events.
