Job summary

Fremont Bank in Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA is seeking a Sr. Assistant Branch Manager who will oversee operations, staff development, and sales leadership to ensure efficient branch performance and security.

This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service and guiding a team to meet branch goals. The position involves hiring, training, and supervising staff, expanding client relationships through outbound calls and referrals, and supporting the Branch Manager to maintain smooth teller-line

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years sales and customer service in banking with new account responsibilities.
• 2+ years supervisor experience or equivalent preferred.
• Successfully pass the Regulation CC Exam, Operational Knowledge Exam and obtain Signing Authority.
• Proven demonstration of success in building relationships with clients and achieving banking sales and lending objectives.
• Knowledgeable in small business deposit and lending products.
• Proven success in small business lending, as well as prospecting and cold calling new outside business opportunities.
• Knowledge of bank products and services and proven success of effective sales techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service that is consistent with bank standards of Six Diamond Experience.
• Promote and expand client relationships based on identifying needs through client needs assessment tools.
• Accurately obtain required new account documentation, input data, and prepare necessary client paperwork for the sale of products and services.
• Resolve client issues and handle client requests promptly and professionally.
• Explain, promote, and refer Fremont Bank products and services to current and prospective clients.
• Meet assigned sales and referral objectives and contribute towards branch goals.
• Maintains accurate performance records, pipeline activities, and reviews performance with Branch Management.
• Conduct telemarketing and follow-up duties; participate in outside business development activities.
• Follow and explain bank policies and procedures; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Balance cash drawer and vault cash accurately; maintain neat workstations/desks.
• Maintain teller and branch cash limits and coordinate cash shipments.
• Complete and submit branch reports, certifications, and audits timely.
• Train associates in customer service, banking procedures, regulatory requirements.
• In absence of Branch Manager, perform Branch Manager duties; manage all operations positions.
• Hire, train, and appraise staff; supervise schedules and performance.
