Job summary

M&T Bank Newark branch seeks a Branch Manager to drive profitability, sales, and customer experience. You will lead a team, coach staff, and ensure execution of Retail strategy while managing risk and compliance.

You’ll oversee business banking relationships, interview staff, and develop talent to meet annual goals. Strong communication and leadership are required, with a focus on delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with strong knowledge of Business Banking products and client relationships.
• Minimum four years of relevant sales experience; at least three years in leadership roles.
• Experience in financial services with ability to manage profitability and broker solutions.
• Licensed Life/Accident and Health Insurance within 18 months of entry (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Directs sales and business development to achieve branch goals and profitability.
• Coaches and develops branch staff; manages staffing, performance, and promotions.
• Identifies customer needs using standard M&T sales processes and cross-sells products.
• Proactively grows Business Banking relationships and community presence.
