Job summary

Virginia Credit Union in Roanoke, VA is seeking an Universal Branch Representative who performs teller and member service duties to deliver an exceptional member experience.

You will handle transactions, open memberships and deposit accounts, identify cross-sell opportunities, and refer members to specialists. Notary certification is required; familiarity with VACU policies and security is expected, along with strong communication and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Some college education or business courses preferred.
• Customer/member service experience, preferably at a financial institution
• Cash handling/business experience at a financial institution
• Knowledge of TCD transaction and settlement procedures

Responsibilities

• Establish member relationships through quality service and cross-selling VACU products/services.
• Handle transactions accurately with balancing and reporting.
• Open memberships and deposit accounts; assist with deposit and loan accounts.
• Provide referrals to deepen member relationships and meet sales goals.
• Maintain knowledge of VACU policies, security, and risk management.
