Job summary

M&T Bank in Snyder, NY is seeking a branch associate to deliver exceptional customer service at the counter and in the lobby. You will balance transactions, assist customers with account maintenance, and ensure accuracy and compliance with bank policies.

You will educate customers with digital demonstrations, identify self-service opportunities, and support lobby management while escalating issues when needed. A high school diploma and 6 months of customer service experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the established customer service standards and provide a differentiated experience by understanding customer needs
• Educate customers through shoulder-to-shoulder digital demonstrations and identify self-service opportunities
• Engage in lobby management, greet customers and address needs
• Balance and process customer transactions accurately following Bank Policy
• Address escalated account service issues until resolution and log complaints
• Transition sales opportunities to banking partners
• Handle branch operations such as cash orders, vault, ATM, and wire transfers
• Process customer/account maintenance accurately
• Complete AML/KYC-related activities and comply with risk controls
• Promote an environment aligned with M&T Bank brand and values
