Job summary

Mechanics Bank in Fresno is seeking a Banking Services Lead to independently perform teller, new account, and maintenance transactions at the Fresno Branch, delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the Retail Banking Services Officer with operations and reporting.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, while ensuring compliance with bank policies and federal/regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, or equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine teller transactions and work directly with customers.
• Accept, verify, and process deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, payments, transfers, and mail/night drop transactions.
• Balance cash and maintain cash supply at end of shift.
• Assist in ensuring branch operational soundness and monitor cash levels.
• Complete and review daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual tasks.
• Lead and direct Customer Service Representatives and Universal Bankers as needed.
• Set and implement operational priorities and processes for the office.
• Provide service for accounts, online banking, mobile banking, and resolve complex issues.
• Review customer transactions for red flags and fraud, stay aware of scams.
