Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a consumer loan originator in Illinois. You will engage with customers, conduct sales calls, and refer to other banking groups to meet growth objectives.

Key duties include developing a local branch business plan, cultivating a strong referral network, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk-management standards while delivering excellent customer service in line with BMO values.

Qualifications

• Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience - preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of retail banking products and services.
• Advanced knowledge of competitive marketplace and trends in product offerings.
• Working knowledge of branch operational processes and policies.
• Working knowledge of branch technologies, processes, and performance metrics.
• Working knowledge of applicable regulations, audit standards, and related policies, procedures, and directives.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a branch business plan to maximize growth and wallet share.
• Conducts sales calls to prospective customers to develop new relationships.

• Promotes and aligns sales and service initiatives with regulatory requirements.
• Resolves customer issues and ensures high-quality service in line with Bank policies.
