Job summary
Caterpillar Inc. in Mossville, IL is seeking a Control Systems Senior Engineer to join the Drivetrain Controls System Simulation and Validation (DCSSV) team.
You will own the design, development, implementation and validation of brake control software for lower powertrain systems, coordinating with mechanical, electrical, software and validation teams to ensure robust integration. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited curriculum.
- 7+ years of engineering experience.
- Experience with lower powertrain component design or development.
- Machine brake controls systems experience.
- Ability to lead projects and collaborate with diverse partners.
- Delivery of system development on-time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead the newly formed Drivetrain Brake Mechatronics team.
- Design, develop, implement and validate drivetrain control software and algorithms.
- Own projects and steward legacy technologies for reliability and value.
- Apply systems engineering to balance performance, durability and cost.
- Collaborate with machine teams to select designs, verify and validate.
- Lead process improvement across controls development and validation.
