Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a lead engineer to design and deliver advanced drivetrain control features for powershift transmissions in Track Type Tractor platforms. You will lead a small team, plan projects, and collaborate with partners across product groups and embedded software teams.

Responsibilities include architecture leadership, documenting requirements, and delivering high-quality control solutions. A BS in engineering and strong experience in embedded systems are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum.
• Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Ag Engineering are preferred tracks.
• Strong knowledge of embedded controls and drivetrain systems.
• Experience with AUTOSAR or similar architectures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small engineering team focused on legacy support, current delivery, and future control innovations for Track Type Tractor applications.
• Plan projects, budgets, and direct resources through standard controls development processes.
