Job summary

Les Schwab Brake & Alignment is seeking a skilled technician in Rathdrum, ID, to service and install brake, alignment, and suspension components with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

You will perform brake and suspension repairs, handle wheel/tire work, and assist customers while following company policies. On-the-job training is provided, and a strong work ethic is valued in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to bend, twist, kneel, squat, reach, walk and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment, drivetrain and power steering components.
• Test and install batteries.
• Dismount/mount tires, rebalance wheels, and recalibrate TPMS components.
• Use equipment and hand tools to complete repairs
• Test drive vehicles and assist other staff as needed
• Provide excellent customer service and refer customers as appropriate

Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components
• Testing and installing batteries
• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components
• Using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools
• Assisting other employees
• Test driving vehicles
• Operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services
• Provides excellent customer service
• Refs customers to other qualified employees as N/A

Experience

Pay and Benefits

$14.85 - $24.50 For full time positions after eligibility criteria are met, benefits include:
