Job summary

Les Schwab in Spokane Valley is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service and install brake, alignment, and suspension components. You will perform battery tests, tire and TPMS work, and drive tests to ensure quality repairs while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to work quickly in a busy setting, and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks. Training is provided on the job.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, and steering components.
• Test and install batteries as part of vehicle service.
• Dismount/mount tires, rebalance wheels, and handle TPMS components recalibration.
• Use service equipment and hand tools to complete repairs.
• Assist other employees and maintain a high level of customer service.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repair quality and safety.
• Operate service vehicles for offsite and emergency road service.
• Refer customers to qualified teammates as needed.

Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components
• Testing and installing batteries
• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components
• Using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools
• Assisting other employees
• Test driving vehicles
• Operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services
• Provides excellent customer service
• Refs customers to other qualified employees as N/A

Experience

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing

Pay and Benefits

$14.85 - $24.50 For full time positions after eligibility criteria are met, benefits include:
