Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, located in Lakewood, WA, is hiring a Delivery Driver to join our Day Shift, Full-Time team. You will read and follow DOT regulations, complete routes from Lakewood & Auburn, and deliver to construction sites with half the time spent loading/unloading.

Base pay starts at $27.00 per hour plus benefits including medical, dental, and vision from day 1, 401k, and PTO. The role requires safe, professional interaction with customers and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• DOT compliant with driving experience on box trucks.
• Minimum 1 year of box truck driving experience, including winter driving.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math for receipts and logs.
• Ability to follow instructions via on-board computer and by phone.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to work independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and document records per DOT 391.11.
• Complete all assigned delivery routes from Lakewood and Auburn; offload at local job sites.
• Address customer questions and concerns professionally and promptly.
• Represent the company in appearance and actions at all times.
• Adhere to Cascade policies and procedures; complete delivery/return documentation.
• Maintain driver logs and vehicle inspections; keep equipment clean and organized.
• Uphold safety practices per handbook and DOT regulations.
• Load and unload trucks; balance time between loading/unloading and driving.

JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at$27.00 Per Hour
Shift: Day Shift, Full Time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with general public, understand highway traffic signs/signals, respond to inquiries and to make entries on reports/records per DOT Reg 391.11
• Complete all assigned delivery routes out of Lakewood & Auburn. Driver will deliver to local construction jobsites and is responsible for manually offloading product
• Address customer questions, issues and concerns in a professional and timely fashion
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times in both actions and personal appearance
• Adhere to Cascade policies and procedures
• Complete all delivery and return documentation accurately and legibly
• Maintain driver logs and inspections
• Maintain equipment in a neat, clean and organized condition
• Uphold all safety practices according to safety handbook and DOT regulations
• Load and unload trucks and assist others with loading and unloading
• Will spend 50% time loading/unloading and 50% of the time driving

Qualifications

• Must be DOT compliant
• 1 years of previous Box Truck driving experience including winter driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Ability to read, write and perform simple mathematical calculations with general mental ability to handle receipts, read maps, read road signs, maintain logs, etc.
• Ability to follow instructions and take directions via on-board computer system and by phone
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist with or without assistance
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and written
• Must be able to work independently
• Ability to work effectively with people in a fast-paced environment
