Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Driver Helper at our Lakewood, WA site to assist the driver in delivering and unloading windows and patio doors. You will ensure accurate product counts, complete required paperwork, and uphold safety protocols on the route to dealers, centers, or job sites.

Typical duties include loading/unloading, interacting with dispatch and customers, and following company procedures.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in loading preferred
• Glass handling knowledge preferred (not required)
• Forklift experience preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

• Unload and load windows and doors, ensure correct product delivery and secure return merchandise when authorized
• Interact courteously with dispatcher, shipping, customer service and transportation staff; complete required paperwork accurately
• Follow company rules and procedures; perform other duties as assigned by the Shipping Manager

The Driver helper will be expected to assist driver in delivering, and/or unload windows and patio door products to customers in a safe and timely manner to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a box truck.

• Tailgating finished goods manufactured by Cascade Windows ensuring accurate product count and unloading/loading and securing return merchandise when authorized

• Responsible for the safe and efficient unloading and unloadingof windows and doors
• Responsible for delivering the correct product to our customers and completing all required paperwork accurately
• Complies rules and company procedures while performing job duties

• Interacts courteously and professionally with dispatcher, company (shipping, customer service, and transportation) staff, and customers
• Includes other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Shipping Manager

• 1-2 years’ experience in loading, particularly in a window manufacturing environment preferred
• Glass handling and/or glass knowledge preferred (not required)
• Forklift experience/certification is preferred(not required)

The US pay for this full-time position is $20.50 per hour + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.)
