Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a full-time driver in Lakewood, WA to transport, deliver, and unload window and patio door products to dealers, distribution centers, and job sites using a Box Truck. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer service in daily operations.

Qualified candidates have a valid CDL B, clean driving record, and at least 2 years of Box Truck experience, including winter driving. Tasks include loading/unloading and driving with DOT compliance and logs.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL B driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
• Must be DOT compliant.
• 2 years of Box Truck driving experience including winter driving experience.
• Ability to read, write and perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to follow instructions via on-board computer system and by phone.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Transport, deliver, and unload windows and patio doors to dealers, distribution centers, and job sites using a Box Truck.
• Read and speak English sufficiently to converse with general public and complete reports per DOT Reg 391.11.
• Complete delivery routes from Lakewood & Auburn; deliver to local construction sites and manually unload product.
• Address customer questions and maintain professional conduct and appearance.
• Maintain logs, inspections, and documentation accurately.
• Spend 50% time loading/unloading and 50% driving.

Shift: Day Shift, Full Time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Driver will be expected to transport, deliver, and/or unload windows and patio door products to customers in a safe and timely manner to our dealers, distribution centers, and/or construction job sites using a Box Truck. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service.

• Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with general public, understand highway traffic signs/signals, respond to inquiries and to make entries on reports/records per DOT Reg 391.11
• Complete all assigned delivery routes out of Lakewood & Auburn. Driver will deliver to local construction jobsites and is responsible for manually offloading product
• Address customer questions, issues and concerns in a professional and timely fashion
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times in both actions and personal appearance
• Adhere to Cascade policies and procedures
• Complete all delivery and return documentation accurately and legibly
• Maintain driver logs and inspections
• Maintain equipment in a neat, clean and organized condition
• Uphold all safety practices according to safety handbook and DOT regulations
• Load and unload trucks and assist others with loading and unloading
• Will spend 50% time loading/unloading and 50% of the time driving

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Bdriver's license with a clean driving record preferred
• Must be DOT compliant
• 2 years of previous Box Truck driving experience including winter driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Ability to read, write and perform simple mathematical calculations with general mental ability to handle receipts, read maps, read road signs, maintain logs, etc.
• Ability to follow instructions and take directions via on-board computer system and by phone
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist with or without assistance
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and written
• Must be able to work independently
• Ability to work effectively with people in a fast-paced environment
