Job summary

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh is seeking an experienced kitchen leader to supervise staff, prepare high-quality menu items, and control food costs in a busy, upscale hotel environment.

You will schedule shifts, ensure safety and sanitation, and collaborate with events teams to execute specials and VIP functions. Strong English communication and 3–5 years of management are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in management of high-volume production of hot and cold food.
• Experience in upscale restaurants and multiple outlet operations.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Knowledge of standard recipes and proper preparation.
• Dexterity to operate food machinery.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise kitchen staff to prepare and present menu items.
• Manage food, labor, and departmental expenses.
• Schedule culinary staff and control payroll costs.
• Ensure proper ordering, storage and rotation of food.
• Enforce cost and quality control procedures.
• Oversee daily safety and sanitation practices.
