Job summary

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a line cook to deliver quality, timely food and maintain clean, efficient work areas. You will stock stations, adhere to standards, and support sanitation and safety regulations in a fast-paced kitchen.

Ideal candidates have restaurant or culinary experience, strong time management, knife skills, and the ability to multitask while building positive team relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in a full-service restaurant or culinary operation.
• Time management and organizational skills for high-quality food production.
• Ability to work with minimal direction or supervision.
• Food Handler Certification (if applicable).
• Trained in knife skills and basic kitchen equipment usage.
• Able to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Positive rapport with diverse personalities.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to maintain sound working relationships with teammates.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality and presentation of all food to guests in a timely manner.
• Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food at line stations.
• Know and comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies.
• Prevent spoilage and contamination via proper sanitation and health practices.
• Maintain a clean workstation and equipment.
• Assist in daily cleaning of pantry, line, prep areas, and related spaces.
