Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in Pacific Grove, California, is seeking a friendly Guest Service Agent responsible for registration and check-out, PBX operations, and message handling while delivering outstanding guest service. You will act as an advocate for the hotel and develop relationships with guests to encourage their return.

You will manage room assignments, VIP requests, and collaboration with Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, and Valet teams to ensure smooth operations and a memorable

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous front desk or customer-facing experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable of local area, services and attractions.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Register and check out guests in a confident, professional, friendly manner.
• Answer all phone calls promptly with complete and accurate information.
• Manage daily task checklists for AM/PM/Overnight shifts.
• Pre-assign rooms for VIPs, repeat guests, packages, and special requests.
• Follow key control policy and proper credit policies.
• Submit lost & found reports with completed documentation.
• Open, secure, and balance daily shift cash and card transactions.
• Monitor room availability and daily yield status.
• Attend department meetings and coordinate with Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, and Valet.
