Kessler Hotels seeks a skilled Cook to prepare all food items across Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets, upholding top quality and safety standards. The role covers cleanliness of the kitchen, waste minimization, and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities include buffet setup, Banquets prep, and ensuring timely service during operating hours. The ideal candidate has culinary experience, can handle long shifts, and works well in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; culinary experience preferred.
• Culinary experience required.
• Flexible hours; long shifts sometimes required.
• Medium work - lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand during shift.
• Ability to work in varied temperatures.
• Knowledge of menus and hotel standards.
• Proficient in cooking techniques: charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, sauté, braising, roasting and par-cooking.

Responsabilités

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
• Prep and set up food prior to opening to serve guests promptly.
• Prepare and display buffet items according to hotel standards.
• Recognize quality standards in ingredients (vegetables, fish, dairy, meat).
• Maintain sanitary kitchen environment and proper handling.
• Prepare food for Banquets as specified by the Chef.
• Prepare food for Employee Cafeteria as directed by Chef.
• Follow standard recipes; assist as needed.
• Break down buffets and store items properly."
• Support any Kitchen position in need of help.
• Follow Health Dept. and hotel safety regulations.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a Clean As You Go policy.
• Assist in storage and rotation of items.
• Sign keys out/back in as needed.
