Job summary

Kessler Collection seeks a professional cook to support our luxury hotel dining operations in Savannah. You will prepare food for Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.

You will work with the chef to follow standardized recipes, maintain sanitation, assist in banquet events, and adapt to peak service times while upholding safety procedures and cost controls.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Culinary experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas.
• Complete necessary food and station preparation prior to opening of the restaurant to ensure guests are served promptly.
• Prepare and display buffet food items according to hotel standards.
• Recognize quality standards in fresh vegetables, fish, dairy and meat products.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment with knowledge of proper handling, storage, and sanitation.
• Prepare food for Banquets as required per Banquet Event Orders.
• Prepare all foods following hotel standard recipes under the direction of the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
• Follow all Health Department and Company regulations in regards to food and storage standards and safety.
