Job summary

Kessler Hotels is seeking a skilled Cook to prepare all food items per standardized recipes for Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets while upholding top hygiene and safety standards.

The Cook will maintain cleanliness, assist in multiple kitchen stations, and ensure efficient service during peak hours. Prior culinary experience and the ability to work long hours in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Culinary experience required.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Ability to withstand temperature variations both hot and cold.
• Have thorough knowledge of menus and the preparation required, according to hotel standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas.
• Complete necessary food and station preparation prior to the opening of the restaurant to ensure guests are served promptly.
• Prepare and display buffet food items according to hotel standards.
• Recognize quality standards in fresh vegetables, fish, dairy and meat products.
• Maintain clean and sanitary environment with knowledge of proper handling, storage and sanitation.
• Prepare food for Banquets as specified by Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
• Prepare all foods following hotel standard recipes and assist in multiple kitchen stations.
• Breakdown buffets and kitchen line, store food and equipment properly.”
• Know the location and operation of all fire extinguishing equipment.
• Follow all Health Department and Company regulations.
