Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a friendly, guest-focused server to deliver exceptional hospitality in our dining venues. You will greet guests, take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure an outstanding experience for every guest.

You will learn our extensive menu, wine offerings, and allergy information while maintaining smooth service and accurate billing. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required in a lively hotel restaurant setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a similar or supportive role.
• Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Awareness Certification (if applicable).
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to learn, retain, and present product, menu, and allergy information to guests.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant POS system.
• Ability to calculate the accurate bill amount and handle credit card/money transactions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Passion for crafting and personalizing guest experiences.
• Highly motivated and flexible with initiative.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with quality customer service by demonstrating knowledge of all menu items.
• Serve food and beverages punctually, courteously, efficiently and accurately.
• Act as an advocate for the restaurant and create personally curated experiences.
• Develop relationships with guests to encourage repeat visits.
• Attend all required trainings and meetings.
• Maintain clear communication with team and management.
• Support coworkers and keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
