Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a guest-focused team member to provide exceptional service in our restaurant. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure a memorable dining experience while maintaining knowledge of the menu, wine list, and service standards.

The role requires excellent communication, multitasking, and a flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training and a lively, guest-centered environment await you at our Los Angeles area location.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a similar or supportive role is preferred.
• Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness Certifications (if applicable).
• Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Able to learn, retain, and present product, menu, and allergy information to guests.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant POS system is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with quality customer service by demonstrating excellent knowledge of all menu items.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a punctual, courteous, efficient and accurate manner.
• Act as an advocate for the restaurant, create personal guest experiences, and develop relationships with guests who will return.
• Greet and welcome guests and promptly attend to tables.
• Receive and take guest orders, process in POS system quickly and accurately.
• Learn and maintain product knowledge of the food, wine, and beverage menu(s).
• Ensure guests have an enjoyable experience and relay complaints to management.
• Attend trainings and meetings and maintain communication with staff and management.
