Job summary

Barrel Global is seeking an Operations & Client Coordinator in Lancaster, KY. This independent contractor role blends client coordination with logistics, focusing on sample requests, barrel inventory, and compliance across bonded facilities.

The position requires travel to distilleries and warehouses, regular coordination with partners, and clear communication with clients and internal teams. The work setup supports remote and on-site activities.

Qualifications

• Background in bourbon or spirits industry; understanding distilleries, bonded warehouses, and barrel ownership.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple open requests without dropping the ball.
• Comfort with TTB documentation, TIBs, and compliance in bonded facility operations.
• Confident communicator with clients, distillery partners, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sample requests from clients and internal teams from intake to delivery confirmation.
• Liaise with distillery and warehouse partners to source samples and arrange pulls.
• Ensure samples are packaged and shipped correctly with labeling and TTB documentation.
• Keep clients informed throughout the process for a strong client experience.
• Maintain accurate barrel inventory across Kentucky locations and track movements and aging milestones.
• Prepare barrels and facilities ahead of client visits and tasting events.
