Job summary

Independent Stave Company’s Used Barrel Division (Kentucky Bourbon Barrel South) seeks an Operations Specialist to manage the flow of barrels through our facility, blending logistics and production duties in a fast-paced environment.

You will prepare orders, coordinate shipping and receiving, and support inventory control while operating forklifts and maintaining safety standards. Competitive wages and benefits accompany this full-time role.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred.
• Strong attendance, teamwork, and safety mindset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders for shipment (bill of lading, packing list, and manifest)
• Manage shipping, receiving, and inventory movement
• Communicate with drivers and internal teams to ensure timely loading and scheduling changes
• Support production and quality goals (inventory and quality checks)
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Other duties as assigned
