Job summary

Action for Boston Community Development is seeking a HeartWAP Coordinator to lead client outreach, intake and eligibility certification for weatherization and heating programs in Downtown Boston. You will collaborate with SCSC, contractors, and multiple agencies to ensure compliant service delivery and timely program administration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3–5 years relevant experience.
• Associate’s degree in Social Sciences or related field preferred.
• Ability to interpret and implement state and federal guidelines for weatherization activities.
• Strong organizational skills and background in office management.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.
• Ability to deal sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement client outreach strategy for WAP/HWAP monthly production.
• Maintain contact with community groups, ABCD’s APACs/NSCs, and city/state agencies.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and utility guidelines for eligibility and documentation.
• Design and monitor tools to manage application tracking and documentation for compliance.
• Coordinate contractor procurement and annual reviews of licenses, insurance and contracts.
• Oversee contractor work processes and assign work per program guidelines.
• Expand contractor pool when needed.
• Coordinate data entry with the Energy Department’s financial team for master files.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual funding reports across sources.
• Monitor application tracking through intake, incomplete, appeals and verification.
