Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating decision making and composure in stressful situations, or
• A bachelor’s degree or completion of a full four-year course of study from an accredited college or university, OR
• Combination of experience and education used in evaluating eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question people suspected of immigration and customs violations and inspect documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near borders using surveillance and night-ops tools.
• Interpret and follow tracks and evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waters using various government assets.
