Job summary

Books A Million in Branson, MO seeks a Bookseller with added Social Coordinator duties to greet customers, sell products, handle cashiering, and maintain social media content. This role includes posting content on approved templates, responding to reviews, and coordinating content calendars while delivering excellent in-store service.

You will balance cash, assist with merchandising, and help with inventory and store upkeep. Prior retail exposure and strong communication are valued.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.
• Comfortable creating and posting both photo and short-form video content.
• Basic short-form video skills (filming and light editing) no professional production experience required.
• Clear, professional written communication skills.
• Genuine familiarity with and enthusiasm for the store's product and community.
• Sound judgment regarding what is appropriate to post and when to elevate rather than respond.
• Ability to plan ahead using a content calendar and maintain a consistent cadence within existing work hours.

Responsibilities

• Bookseller: Greet customers, assist with questions and orders, and perform cashiering.
• Sell products and promote POS initiatives (Membership programs, Magazine for Millionaires, Educator programs).
• Balance cash drawer per Loss Prevention Policy.
• Deliver and place products on sales floor per merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain and tidy the sales floor; assist with inventory and store housekeeping.
• Protect company assets by adhering to loss prevention standards.
• Assist in other departments and duties as assigned (receiving shipments, maintenance).
• Social Coordinator duties: post content on schedule; manage profiles; respond to reviews; maintain content calendar.
