Job summary

Books-A-Million is seeking a friendly Bookseller to provide exceptional customer service and knowledge about books and merchandise. You will greet customers, assist with questions and orders, and perform cashier duties with accuracy.

Responsibilities include shelving, stocking, and merchandising on the sales floor, participating in inventory tasks, and upholding loss prevention standards. A 16+ age requirement and background screening apply; prior retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.
• Previous retail sales experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide the highest level of customer service.
• Assist customers with questions, orders, and product recommendations; handle basic cashiering.
• Balance cash drawer and process transactions accurately.
• Deliver and merchandise products on the sales floor according to guidelines.
• Maintain store cleanliness, restock shelves, and assist with inventory as needed.
• Support other departments and store operations as required.
