Books-A-Million is seeking a Bookseller to deliver exceptional customer service, assist customers with questions and orders, and operate the cash register efficiently. The role promotes store programs, maintains the sales floor, and supports merchandising and inventory tasks to ensure an outstanding shopping experience.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a busy retail environment.
• Previous retail sales experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides customers with the highest level of customer service by greeting each customer, assisting with questions and orders, and efficient cashiering.
• Sales of all products and promotion of membership and educator programs.
• Balances cash drawer following each shift.
• Delivers and places product on the sales floor per merchandising guidelines.
• Recovers the sales floor during shifts with organizing and housekeeping tasks.
• Protects company assets by adhering to loss prevention standards.
