Job summary

Books-A-Million in McClane City, LA is seeking a friendly Bookseller to deliver outstanding customer service, assist shoppers, and handle cashiering with accuracy. Responsibilities include greeting customers, answering questions, promoting memberships and programs, stocking shelves, and maintaining clean, organized displays while supporting store operations.

Minimum age is 16, and successful background screenings are required.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older
• Successful completion of all required background screenings

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers and assisting with questions and orders, efficient cashiering.
• Sales of products and promotion of programs (Membership, Magazine for Millionaires, Educator programs).
• Balance cash drawer and follow Loss Prevention policies.
• Stocking and merchandising: placing products on the sales floor per guidelines, housekeeping, and recovery of the sales floor.
• Adhere to loss prevention standards and integrity in all transactions.
• Other duties including receiving shipments, inventory support, and fixture maintenance.
