Job summary

Books-A-Million in Slidell, LA is seeking a Bookseller to provide exceptional customer service, assist with questions and orders, and cashier efficiently. The role promotes membership programs and in-store promotions while maintaining clean, organized shelves.

You will help with restocking, inventory support, and general store upkeep in a fast-paced retail environment. The position emphasizes friendly communication, product knowledge, and teamwork to deliver an outstanding shopping experience

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with questions and orders, and perform efficient cashiering.
• Promote store programs and memberships, including promotional initiatives.
• Balance cash drawer following each shift per Loss Prevention policy.
• Deliver and merchandise products on the sales floor according to guidelines.
• Support inventory and housekeeping; assist in other departments as needed.
