Books-A-Million is seeking a friendly, knowledgeable Bookseller to deliver exceptional customer service and help shoppers find books and merchandise. You will greet customers, operate the register, and support merchandising initiatives while maintaining store standards.

The role involves assisting with shipments, stocking shelves, and providing a positive shopping experience in a fast-paced retail environment. 16+ and background checks required; competitive benefits listed in the ad.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills and customer focus are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accuracy at the register.
• Strong communication skills for customer interaction.
• Experience with point-of-sale systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide outstanding service; assist with questions and orders; operate cashiering functions.
• Promote products and POS initiatives including Memberships, Educator programs, and other company programs.
• Balance cash drawer after each shift per Loss Prevention policy.
• Stock and merchandise shelves, place products on the sales floor per guidelines.
• Maintain clean, organized sales floor and perform housekeeping duties as needed.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention standards and policies.
• Assist in other departments, receive shipments, assemble small fixtures, and support inventory.”
