Books-A-Million in Plano, TX, is seeking a Buyback Buyer for our 2nd & Charles location. You will evaluate incoming items and extend fair offers, helping traders turn books, music, and collectibles into new discoveries for customers.

You will greet customers, build knowledge of inventory, maintain merchandising standards, and collaborate with teammates to keep the store welcoming and organized. Prior retail or customer service experience is valued, with a love of books and a proactive,

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.
• Previous buying, retail, or customer service experience.
• Product knowledge and market trends understanding.
• A love of books and pop culture.
• Ownership mindset and initiative.
• Comfort with technology and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and merchandise traded product quickly so it reaches the sales floor.
• Research product and customer information to protect trade accuracy.
• Provide fair offers and input intake into store inventory.
• Deliver fast, friendly customer service at the buy counter.
• Highlight customer benefits and programs like Sales Promotions.
• Maintain merchandising standards in your assigned area.
• Keep store clean and welcoming, including routines.
• Assist with receiving shipments and helping on the sales floor.
