Job summary

A Superior Mechanical, a well-established HVAC and plumbing company serving the Florida Panhandle for more than 20 years, seeks a Bookkeeping Specialist to handle daily accounting tasks and keep our financial records accurate.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–4:00 PM), 40+ hours weekly, with responsibilities including AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close using QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• Prior professional bookkeeping experience.
• Strong working knowledge of AP and AR.
• Payroll experience required.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable

Bookkeeping Specialist

Location: Panama City, FL

Pay: $22-$26 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:00 PM | 40+ hours weekly

A Superior Mechanical is an established HVAC and plumbing company serving the Florida Panhandle for more than 20 years. As our business continues to expand, we're seeking a Bookkeeping Specialist who can confidently handle our daily accounting activities and help keep our financial operations organized and accurate.

What You'll Do

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Process payroll and maintain employee payroll records
• Record and manage transactions using QuickBooks
• Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
• Maintain accurate customer and vendor accounts
• Support month-end bookkeeping and financial reporting
• Research and correct accounting discrepancies

What We're Looking For

• Prior professional bookkeeping experience
• Strong working knowledge of AP and AR
• Proven payroll experience
• Proficiency with QuickBooks
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and handle confidential information
