Job summary

Nomad Labs Inc. is seeking a Bookkeeping Operations Specialist to manage day-to-day operational accounting. The role requires comfort with evolving processes, strong accounting fundamentals, and a willingness to adopt new tools and methods.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup, visiting our downtown Denver office about three times per week, supporting rent-related bookkeeping, vendor concessions, and owner/tenant inquiries as we scale together.

Qualifications

• General accounting/bookkeeping literacy.
• High attention to detail, particularly with numbers.
• Nimbleness: comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
• Critical thinking to problem-solve operational issues and evolve processes.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
• A deep curiosity to ask questions, learn new things, and be open to feedback.
• Comfortable using AI and other resources to research answers and self-direct.

Responsibilities

• Conduct day-to-day bookkeeping in AppFolio, including rent advances, check processing, and security deposit returns
• Handle internal accounting requests (issuing concessions, refunding tenants, etc.)
• Respond to owner and tenant accounting inquiries
• Assist with move-outs, delinquencies, owner payments, and bank reconciliations
• Use reports to investigate financial discrepancies
• Improve bookkeeping accuracy and help evolve our processes as we scale
