Somich & Associates CPAs in Willoughby, OH is seeking a full-time bookkeeper to join our growing public accounting firm. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to process information accurately.

Training will be provided to ensure success in a fast-paced, team-oriented office. Responsibilities include coding and entering bank statements, completing month-end closes, reconciling accounts, processing payroll, and preparing payroll

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years experience in payroll and bookkeeping.
Proficiency with QuickBooks desktop and online.
QuickBooks Online Certification a plus.
Experience with payroll and sales tax a plus.
Associates Degree in Accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

Code and complete data entry of bank statements and other bookkeeping transactions for a variety of clients.
Complete the month-end process and reconcile bank accounts for clients.
Provide backup support to other accounting services personnel and clients.
Prepare reports, returns and other documents including payroll reports, sales tax returns, year-end tax forms and financial statements.
Administer and process payroll for clients, including updates, payroll tax deposits and other payroll reports.
Establishing and maintaining working relationships with clients and providing excellent customer service with timely communication.
