Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the complete accounting cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial activities. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial records, support strategic decision-making, and ensure adherence to industry standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Duties

  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations using financial software such as QuickBooks
  • Prepare and review journal entries, ledger postings, and month-end closing activities with precision and timeliness.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Oversee payroll management using ensuring timely processing and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Conduct detailed data entry and analysis utilizing Excel for financial reporting and audit support.
  • Maintain compliance with governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices where applicable.
  • Support internal controls by assisting with audit preparations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits by providing documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
  • Assist in budgeting, credit analysis, and financial forecasting to support organizational growth initiatives.

Experience

  • Proven experience in full-charge bookkeeping or accounting roles within corporate or governmental settings.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting systems such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and governmental accounting standards.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Stripe is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation, journal entries, balance sheet management, and account analysis.
  • Experience working with financial concepts related to budgeting, credit analysis, and financial data analysis using Excel.
  • Knowledge of internal controls is a plus.
  • Excellent numeracy skills combined with attention to detail for accurate data entry and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
